If not, get one as you will need to measure yourself before you kick off your workout program. It’s easy to get discouraged when you work so hard to lose weight and your efforts don’t pay off on the scale. Seeing the same number week after week can make you want to drown your sorrows and go back to eating the way you were, Right?? But WAIT…..here’s the thing….scales don’t always tell the truth…INCHES DO!! So take your measurements before you kick off your workout program so you have something that will show you have made progress after a month of sticking to the program. I’ve always said to myself – Losing inches = motivation = sticking to program! So I’m going to ask you to do what I did – take and record your measurements before you start working out on Monday as that is how you will see the awesome progress you are making.
Watch my video, which walks you through how to correctly take measurements. Also use my Measurement Tracker (found on the Resources tab on my site) to record and track your progress. You can of course monitor your weight as well, but keep in mind “muscle weighs more than fat”…. so as you lose fat and start building lean muscle, the number on that scale may not reflect your true progress. Once you start losing inches your clothes will feel loser and before you know it you’ll be saying “Hmmm…I think my butts gettin’ small” 🙂 That number on the scale won’t matter #weareallfittastic #setgoals #makefitnessmatter #hapaafyatu
